Senmiao Technology has named David Nichols strategic advisor effective immediately, tasking him with advancing the company’s AI data center solutions, digital infrastructure, and new energy strategy. His remit includes power infrastructure origination, capital formation and forging institutional partnerships to support Senmiao’s growth platform.

Nichols offers more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of global energy markets, infrastructure development and capital markets. He co-led the SPAC transaction that raised $575 million for AppHarvest’s Nasdaq listing and directed over $1.2 billion in sustainable infrastructure investments, and earlier financed 30+ carbon credit projects across Asia.

Nichols has structured hyperscale data center campuses with integrated power solutions—natural gas generation, utility-scale solar, battery storage and high-voltage grid interconnections—to secure multi-hundred-megawatt capacity and support gigawatt-scale computing. His institutional investment relationships and energy systems expertise position Senmiao to pursue large-scale digital infrastructure opportunities.
