ServiceNow Inks Three-Year OpenAI Pact to Integrate GPT-5.2 and Speech AI

NOWNOW

ServiceNow signed a three-year strategic collaboration with OpenAI to integrate GPT-5.2 into its AI Platform and build real-time speech-to-speech AI agents for enterprise workflows. The deal grants ServiceNow engineers direct access to frontier OpenAI models, enabling live voice interactions and advanced automation without bespoke development.

1. Stock Split, Platform Upgrades and Acquisition Fail to Halt 2025 Decline

ServiceNow shares fell nearly 28% over 2025 despite a 5-for-1 stock split in late October designed to make the shares more accessible. The company began the year with the rollout of its Yokohama AI Platform upgrade in March—shifting from assistive to more autonomous AI agents—followed by the Zurich release in the third quarter. First-quarter subscription revenue rose 19% year-over-year to just under $3.1 billion, and non-GAAP net income reached $846 million, comfortably ahead of consensus. Yet investor enthusiasm faded in the back half of the year, and the nearly $7.8 billion all-cash purchase of cybersecurity firm Armis in December failed to reassure the market, with many shareholders viewing the price tag as excessive given uncertain synergies.

2. Expanded Global Partner Program Aims to Accelerate AI Agent Innovation

In January 2026, ServiceNow unveiled a reimagined Build Program as part of its global Partner Program, now encompassing over 2,700 partners worldwide. The new tiered structure—Registered, Select, Premier and Elite, plus an Access Tier for entry-stage developers—will see more than 1,000 existing partners transition by March. ServiceNow also introduced a unified investment portfolio including a Market Development Fund with 100% reimbursement for select activities, a Strategic Investment Fund for high-impact opportunities, and enhanced sell-through, deployment and specialization incentives. A streamlined single annual membership fee replaces multiple program charges, aiming to reduce friction and fuel partner-led growth on the ServiceNow AI Platform.

3. Three-Year OpenAI Pact to Embed GPT-5.2 Across Workflows

ServiceNow signed a three-year agreement with OpenAI to integrate GPT-5.2 models and develop real-time speech-to-speech AI agents within its enterprise workflow platform. The collaboration will enable customers to leverage frontier models for autonomous ticket creation, approval workflows and multilingual voice interactions without text intermediaries. Under the deal, ServiceNow engineers and OpenAI technical advisors will co-develop embedded intelligence features, while ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower ensures governance, auditability and orchestration across any cloud or data source. Neither party disclosed the financial terms, but the pact underscores ServiceNow’s strategy to accelerate enterprise adoption of agentic AI at scale.
