2. AI Roadmap and Strategic Market Growth
Management advanced an AI roadmap through a partnership with xAI to deploy Grok across products, introduced AI assistants and churn-prevention models, and will rebrand SkyTab as Shift4Dine in 2026. The company is accelerating expansion in Asia, the Middle East and rolling out DCC and all-in-one terminals in 15 European countries ahead of global events.
3. Global Blue Acquisition and Simplification Transaction
In July 2025 Shift4 acquired Global Blue, securing a 4× market share lead in tax-free shopping, with integration synergies expected in 2026. A simplification transaction merged B and C shares into Class A, leaving the founder with 27% voting power and eliminating $440 million of future TRA obligations.
4. 2026 Outlook and Capital Structure
Shift4’s 2026 guidance calls for $240–260 billion volume with blended spreads above 60 bps, GRLNF of $2.5–2.6 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $1.165–1.215 billion. Management aims to keep net leverage below 3.75×, disaggregate revenue into payments, tax-free shopping and subscriptions, and achieve 42% free cash flow conversion.
