Six Flags New England Unveils First Dual-Launch Straddle Coaster Reaching 45 mph
Six Flags New England unveiled Quantum Accelerator, its 12th coaster and New England’s first dual-launch straddle ride, featuring two launches (0–30 mph, then 45 mph), a 59-foot airtime hill and 2,604-foot track. The attraction, along with new dining venues and season pass enhancements, aims to boost attendance and revenues.
1. Quantum Accelerator Debut
Six Flags New England introduced Quantum Accelerator as its 12th roller coaster and the first dual-launch straddle ride in the region. The attraction launches riders from 0 to 30 mph, then to 45 mph mid-course, features a 59-foot airtime hill, overbanked turns and a Stengel dive along its 2,604-foot track.
2. Crackaxle Canyon and Dining Upgrades
The new coaster anchors upgrades in Crackaxle Canyon, where Screamore Gadgets debuted new retail offerings and JB’s Smokehouse rolled out themed menu items. Park-wide food enhancements include a renovated Riverboat Café, elevated mac and cheese, hand-breaded fish and chips, and bold sauces at Chop Six.
3. Season Pass Regional Expansion
For 2026, Gold Season Passes now include regional access to multiple East Coast parks and Silver Pass buyers receive free upgrades to Gold through May 3. These enhancements are designed to drive early season sales, increase guest loyalty and support higher per-visit spending.
