SLB was selected as strategic reservoir partner for the Havstjerne carbon storage project in Norway’s North Sea.
The scope covers concept work plus FEED, supporting the project’s technical, cost, and schedule basis ahead of a final investment decision.
The work links subsurface reservoir analysis with injection well design, subsea infrastructure, and CO2 monitoring, delivered with the OneSubsea joint venture.
Havstjerne, operated by Harbour Energy with Stella Maris CCS, targets large-scale CO2 storage for European industrial emitters.
The project received EUR 225 million from the EU Innovation Fund in 2025, and an appraisal well in 2025 confirmed reservoir quality.
