SST VI inaugurated its second Montréal facility at 5500 Rue Notre-Dame Ouest, a five-story, Class A property featuring 124,000 net rentable square feet, 1,450 climate-controlled units and three elevators designed for modern customer needs.

Situated three miles from downtown along a major corridor with 100,000 vehicles daily, the site taps into dense rental and mixed-use neighborhoods including Saint-Henri, Verdun and Westmount, capitalizing on urban demographics and limited new supply.

The project was executed in partnership with SmartCentres and is sponsored by SmartStop Self Storage REIT’s affiliate, aligning with the strategy of expanding high-quality, customer-focused storage assets in key North American markets.

As of May 28, SST VI's portfolio comprises 25 operating properties in the U.S. and Canada totaling over 2.2 million rentable square feet and more than 20,200 units, while SmartStop’s owned or managed footprint exceeds 460 properties and 35 million square feet.
