SNB Holds Key Policy Rate at 0%

The SNB kept its policy rate unchanged at 0% at its quarterly monetary policy assessment on Sept. 24, 2026.
- Sight deposits held by banks at the SNB will continue to be remunerated up to a set limit at the policy rate.
- The reduction versus the policy rate applied to sight deposits above that threshold was maintained at 0.25 percentage points.
- The central bank reiterated it is prepared to intervene in the foreign exchange market if needed to ensure appropriate monetary conditions.
