Snowflake has deepened its strategic alliance with Google Cloud to accelerate enterprise AI adoption. Building on a multi-year partnership that already supports hundreds of joint customers in regulated industries such as financial services and healthcare, the companies will co-develop go-to-market programs, share product roadmaps and integrate engineering teams. As part of this expansion, Snowflake and Google Cloud will streamline contract negotiations and align sales incentives to simplify large-scale deployments for organizations running mission-critical AI workloads.

Snowflake announced that Google’s Gemini 3 large-scale foundation model will be embedded directly within Snowflake Cortex AI, the company’s real-time, in-database inference engine. Customers can now invoke Gemini 3 on multi-terabyte and petabyte-scale data sets without moving data out of Snowflake’s platform, reducing data egress time by up to 90% and eliminating the need for external model hosting. Early adopters report up to 3× faster time-to-insight for use cases such as personalized recommendations and regulatory reporting, driving down total cost of ownership for AI operations.

To support sensitive workloads, Snowflake has incorporated Google Cloud’s Vertex AI security controls into Cortex AI. The integration brings automated data lineage, role-based access controls and end-to-end encryption of in-flight inference requests. Customers in life sciences and government sectors will benefit from FedRAMP High and HIPAA-compliant deployment patterns, enabling AI model audits and policy enforcement without manual intervention. These enhancements position Snowflake Cortex AI as a fully governed, enterprise-ready platform for large-scale generative AI projects.
