Solidion Technology Soars Almost 100% Premarket on Patented Lithium Battery Breakthrough
STI•Solidion Technology announced patents for three commercial-ready lithium-metal battery types—lithium-air, lithium-sulfur, and anodeless lithium-metal—targeting space, data centers, EVs, drones, and electronics. Its stock soared nearly 100% premarket on Friday, extending a triple-digit rally, and has more than tripled year-to-date amid record energy demand.
1. Patent Approvals and Commercial Applications
Solidion Technology secured patents for its lithium-air, lithium-sulfur, and anodeless lithium-metal batteries, all cleared for commercial use. The lithium-air model offers the highest energy density for space applications; the lithium-sulfur variant suits data centers, long-range EVs, aviation, and marine; and the anodeless design targets drones, light EVs, and electronic devices.
2. Stock Performance Surge
Shares jumped nearly 100% premarket on Friday, marking a second straight session of triple-digit gains and making Solidion the top percentage gainer. The stock has more than tripled year-to-date and climbed sixfold over the past 12 months, significantly outpacing broader market indices.
3. Market Drivers and Future Outlook
Record energy demand fueled by AI infrastructure expansion and extreme weather is boosting interest in advanced battery solutions. Additionally, growth in the space economy, including lunar base initiatives, is creating new markets for high-energy-density power sources capable of operating in extreme environments.
