Solidion Unveils AI-Assisted BEEP Solid-State Batteries for eVTOL and Space Infrastructure
STI•Solidion Technology unveiled its patented bipolar electrode-to-pack (BEEP) solid-state battery technology designed to power eVTOL aircraft, drones, AI data centers and space infrastructure with enhanced energy and power densities. The AI-assisted BEEP process reduces pack weight, volume and cost by replacing hundreds of module housings and connectors with a single casing.
1. Introduction to BEEP Technology
Solidion Technology’s patented bipolar electrode-to-pack (BEEP) approach bypasses individual cell assembly by directly stacking bipolar electrodes and solid electrolyte layers in series and parallel. The AI-assisted design optimizes electrode geometry and layer integration, enabling a fully enclosed battery pack in a single casing.
2. Performance and Manufacturing Benefits
The BEEP architecture delivers higher energy and power densities while slashing pack weight, volume and unit cost. By replacing hundreds of separate housings and connectors with a unified casing and minimal connectors, production complexity and fire suppression requirements are greatly reduced.
3. Target Markets and Deployment
Solidion is positioning BEEP batteries for deployment in electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, autonomous drones, advanced robotics, AI server UPS systems and space infrastructure. With pilot production in Ohio and a portfolio of over 385 patents, the company aims to accelerate commercialization across ground, air, sea and orbital platforms.
