Solis Minerals mobilises June drilling at Brazil lithium targets with 362 ppm anomaly
Solis Minerals has mobilised its exploration team at the Mandacaru and Campo Grande prospects in Minas Gerais, Brazil, to prepare for a June diamond drilling campaign. Mandacaru shows multi-kilometre lithium anomalies up to 362 ppm in soil and 338 ppm in auger samples with grades increasing at depth.
1. Team mobilisation and site preparation
Solis Minerals has deployed its exploration team to the Mandacaru and Campo Grande prospects in the Araçuaí–Salinas Lithium Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil, to finalise land access, conduct surface mapping and position drill collars ahead of a planned June diamond drilling campaign.
2. Priority target anomalies
Mandacaru and Campo Grande, defined through historical technical work by Rio Tinto and located about 18 kilometres apart, exhibit strong LCT pathfinder signatures. Mandacaru soil sampling returned up to 362 ppm lithium and auger drilling yielded 338 ppm, with lithium grades increasing at depth.
3. Structural context and next steps
Surface mapping has identified pegmatite float and intrusive bodies along structural corridors consistent with spodumene-bearing systems. The focus will now shift to drill testing these targets to assess pegmatite fertility and bedrock lithium sources during the upcoming campaign.
