South Korea presidential office says Coupang issue not delaying US trade and security talks

National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac in a press briefing said the Coupang matter involved a legally established data leak affecting more than 33 million records, rejecting the company's claim that the scale was about 3,000 cases and saying discussions should start from the confirmed figure.

Wi also said South Korea believed additional U.S. tariffs were possible under Section 301, while noting Seoul was continuing consultations with Washington on tariff-related issues.

SEOUL, July 22 (Reuters) - A South Korean presidential official said on Wednesday that a government dispute with U.S.-listed e-commerce firm Coupang was not delaying discussions with Washington on trade, investment plans or security cooperation.
