Sphere 3D hires EA Advisors for 53 MW AI/HPC conversion strategy
ANY•Sphere 3D engaged EA Advisors to guide technical assessment, partner identification and execution of AI/HPC conversions across its 53 MW footprint and 100+ MW pipeline. The move follows the June 1 business combination with Cathedra Bitcoin, which added five data centers and 1.2 EH/s of mining capacity.
1. Strategic Advisory Engagement
Sphere 3D has engaged EA Advisors to support its AI/HPC conversion strategy, with responsibilities spanning technical assessment of site configurations, identification of design and operating partners, and execution support. The advisory engagement is structured to assess and prepare infrastructure for next-generation compute workloads.
2. Scope of AI/HPC Conversions
The conversion scope encompasses approximately 53 MW of operational capacity and a pipeline exceeding 100 MW. EA Advisors will employ a site-by-site approach, aligning customer profiles and business models to optimize the use of each facility.
3. Expanded Data Center Footprint
This advisory engagement follows Sphere 3D’s June 1 business combination with Cathedra Bitcoin, which added five data centers across Iowa, Kentucky and Tennessee. The merger also introduced 1.2 exahashes per second of bitcoin mining capacity to the company’s asset base.
