Spotify renews multiyear deal with podcaster Joe Rogan
SPOT•Spotify said it signed a new multiyear licensing agreement with Joe Rogan for “The Joe Rogan Experience,” with terms similar to his previous deal, which reportedly carried an estimated $250 million earnout.
1. New licensing agreement
Spotify said the renewal extends a partnership that began in 2020. The company did not disclose financial terms; Rogan’s previous deal had an estimated earnout of $250 million, the Wall Street Journal reportedly said, citing people familiar with the matter.
2. Show distribution and reach
The show was exclusive to Spotify from 2020 until a 2024 renewal made it available on Apple, Amazon and YouTube. Spotify said new episodes will continue weekly on its platform and elsewhere. The podcast has more than 18 million Spotify followers and over 21 million on YouTube, and was the No. 1 U.S. podcast in the second quarter of 2026 based on reach, Edison Research said.
