STMicroelectronics unveils multimodal vision module with 5.1MP sensor and 9m LiDAR
STMicroelectronics and Leopard Imaging launched an all-in-one vision module combining a 5.1-MP RGB-IR sensor, 6-axis IMU, and 9m-range LiDAR for humanoid robotics. The module offers multi-gigabit Jetson connectivity via NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge and full support on the NVIDIA Isaac development platform, accelerating sim-to-real workflows.

STMicroelectronics and Leopard Imaging introduced an all-in-one vision module that integrates imaging, depth and motion sensing specifically designed for humanoid and advanced robotics applications. The module targets size, weight, and power constraints to simplify system design.
2. Integrated Sensor Suite
It employs the automotive-grade VB1940 5.1MP RGB-IR sensor with dual shutter modes, the LSM6DSV16X six-axis IMU with on-device AI cores, and the VL53L9CX dToF LiDAR capable of accurate depth sensing up to nine meters with 1° angular resolution.
3. NVIDIA Platform Integration
Multi-gigabit connectivity is provided by NVIDIA Holoscan Sensor Bridge over Ethernet to Jetson platforms, while full support on NVIDIA Isaac open robot development platform enables curated AI algorithms, simulation environments, and sample applications.
