Suncor outlines CEO succession plan

Suncor set a CEO succession plan, moving CEO Rich Kruger to executive vice chair in April 2027.

Upstream EVP Peter Zebedee will become president and CEO in April 2027.

Zebedee will take on president and CFO duties on Sept. 14, 2026, overseeing non-operating functions.

CHRO and SVP external affairs Adam Albeldawi will become upstream EVP on Sept. 14, 2026; he previously led Suncor’s in situ business.

SVP operations improvement and support services Shelley Powell will become EVP development and projects on Sept. 14, 2026; she has spent 30 years at Suncor.
