Funds from operations reached C$3.2 billion and free cash flow totaled C$1.7 billion despite a 15.4% year-over-year drop in operating earnings driven by lower upstream prices and foreign-exchange effects.
2. Upstream and Downstream Operations
Upstream production set a record at 909,000 bbl/d, up 3.9% year-over-year, fueled by oil sands output of 992,700 bbl/d and Fort Hills operating at 90% capacity. Downstream delivered C$893 million in operating earnings with refinery throughput of 504,200 bbl/d and utilization at 108%.
3. Capital Allocation and Dividends
The board declared a C$0.60 quarterly dividend distributing C$719 million and repurchased C$775 million of shares. Capital expenditures totaled C$1.5 billion, supporting ongoing project investments while returning C$1.5 billion to shareholders.
