Sunrun says California distributed power plant expands dispatch capacity to 425 MW

Dispatch will run through the California Energy Commission’s Demand Side Grid Support program, with additional dispatch via the CPUC Emergency Load Reduction Program.
Availability is set for daily 4-9 p.m. dispatch windows through summer and fall, targeting peak-demand periods.
Sunrun cited a July 29, 2025 dispatch event that averaged more than 360 MW over two hours from its home-battery fleet.
California distributed power plant expands
Sunrun said its California residential distributed power plant has expanded to 425 MW of peak dispatchable capacity for summer grid support.
Program enrollment rose to more than 80,000 households, representing more than 110,000 home batteries, up from 16,000 in 2024.
