Synopsys up on over $1 billion chip design licensing deal with Amazon
SNPS•AWS entered a multi-year deal worth more than $1 billion to license chip design intellectual property from Synopsys. Synopsys shares rose 2.4% to $425 in premarket trading.
1. Multi-year licensing deal
Amazon’s cloud computing unit AWS will license chip design intellectual property from Synopsys under a multi-year deal worth more than $1 billion. Synopsys will also adopt AWS computing and storage services and Amazon Bedrock to build and deploy AI applications.
