T. Rowe Price Appoints Bill Cashel to Lead U.S. Wealth Alternatives Expansion
Bill Cashel has been named Head of Alternatives for T. Rowe Price’s U.S. Wealth channel, tasked with expanding private market offerings and strengthening intermediary engagement across the firm’s $1.80 trillion asset base. He will integrate private credit strategies from Oak Hill Advisors and co-create model portfolios with Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Bill Cashel has joined T. Rowe Price as Head of Alternatives for its U.S. Wealth channel, reporting to the head of U.S. Intermediaries and charged with expanding private market offerings and strengthening engagement with wealth advisors across the intermediary distribution network.
2. Integration with Oak Hill Advisors and Goldman Sachs Asset Management
In his role, Cashel will oversee delivery of alternative credit strategies from Oak Hill Advisors, co-develop model portfolios with Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and ensure client perspectives inform public and private market product development.
3. Growth of Alternatives Platform
Following its 2021 acquisition of Oak Hill Advisors and strategic alliance with Goldman Sachs, T. Rowe Price has been scaling its alternatives team and plans to increase distribution headcount to broaden access to private equity, private credit and other alternative investment solutions.
4. Cashel’s Background and Expertise
Cashel brings extensive experience from AQR Capital Management and Privacore Capital, where he led liquid alternatives distribution and private markets sourcing; he holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and FINRA Series 7, 66, 63 and 24 registrations.
