Taoping reported first-half 2026 revenue of $11.9 million, down 32% from a year earlier, while its net loss narrowed 47% to $2.5 million. Gross margin rose 2.7 percentage points to 12.8%.
2. Elevator services focus
Elevator project and MRO revenue totaled $3.7 million, about 31.3% of revenue; project and MRO gross margins were 23.5% and 32.2%. More than 10,000 elevators are connected to Taoping’s smart management platform. Management said it is reducing exposure to lower-margin legacy activity, focusing on converting Skyladder confirmed orders, and expanding subscriptions and MRO services.
