Target’s Beauty Sales Surge 9.6% in Q1; Studios to Expand to 600+ Stores

Target’s beauty category delivered a 9.6% same-quarter sales increase in Q1, marking one of the strongest segment performances company-wide. This growth rate outpaced overall comparable sales, driven by elevated demand for both prestige and mass-market beauty products.
2. Beauty Studio Rollout
The retailer plans to expand its in-store Beauty Studio footprint to more than 600 locations by year-end, up from approximately 400 today. The concept offers staffed makeup consultations and custom services designed to deepen customer engagement and capture higher-margin beauty sales.
