Planned Anglo Teck merger outlines future leadership and headquarters
Anglo American’s planned merger with Teck Resources will form Anglo Teck, with closing expected between September 2026 and March 2027.
The companies named the future executive leadership team, led by CEO-designate Duncan Wanblad and deputy CEO and chief strategy officer Jonathan Price.
Anglo Teck will base its global headquarters in Vancouver, supported by corporate offices in London and Johannesburg.
The deal targets about USD 800 million of annual pre-tax synergies by the end of year four, with about 80% by the end of year two.
It also forecasts USD 1.4 billion of underlying EBITDA revenue synergies from 2030-2049 from integrating Collahuasi and Quebrada Blanca in Chile.
