Telefónica partnered with Oviedo City Council to deploy a smart tourism platform to improve visitor management across the city and the Camino Primitivo.
The rollout uses Telefónica’s Thinking City platform to integrate municipal tourism, cultural, and urban data for analytics on visitor flows and performance.
The system will connect with SEGITTUR’s Smart Destination Platform to align Oviedo with Spain’s national smart tourism destination strategy.
The project targets greater digital adoption among local tourism SMEs to lift competitiveness and support higher economic activity.
