Telesat Government Solutions, Cailabs team up on secure optical space-to-ground links for US, allied missions

Telesat Government Solutions signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Cailabs US to integrate secure optical space-to-ground connectivity for government missions.
Work will test interoperability between Telesat Lightspeed’s optical inter-satellite links and Cailabs’ production-ready optical ground stations.
The companies plan joint studies and demonstrations targeting U.S. Government opportunities, including space data relay services.
Cailabs is scaling manufacturing with a target capacity of up to 50 optical ground stations per year.
