Telia Lietuva to Cut 59 Roles, Create 16 Growth Positions with February 2026 Leadership Reshuffle
Telia Lietuva will eliminate 59 Digital & Technology roles and create 16 new positions in growth areas, reflecting a digital and AI-driven efficiency push within Telia Company Group. Effective February 1, 2026, Elina Dapkevičienė and Lina Bandzinė will swap leadership roles in Sales & Customer Service and Consumer units.
1. Reorganization of Digital & Technology Unit
Telia Lietuva has launched a major reorganization of its combined Digital & Technology unit as part of the wider Telia Company Group’s digital transformation strategy. The move follows the November 2025 merger of the Technology and Digital Transformation divisions and is intended to streamline processes, improve cross-functional collaboration and accelerate the deployment of AI-driven digital solutions across its operations in Lithuania.
2. Workforce Adjustments and New Roles
The company will reduce headcount by 59 positions out of its approximately 2,500-strong Lithuanian workforce, driven by structural changes and efficiency gains from digitalization. To support future growth areas, Telia Lietuva plans to create 16 new roles: 10 within Telia Global Services Lithuania and 6 within the local Digital & Technology unit. Affected employees will receive fair compensation and tailored transition support following consultations with trade unions.
3. Leadership Realignment Effective February 1, 2026
In conjunction with the organizational changes, Telia Lietuva announced a swap of two senior executives. Elina Dapkevičienė, currently Head of Consumer, will become Head of Sales and Customer Service, while Lina Bandzinė, the outgoing Sales and Customer Service lead, will assume the Head of Consumer role. These appointments are designed to leverage each leader’s domain expertise and drive customer-centric initiatives during the digital shift.
