Telus introduced SmartHome Assistant, the first AI-powered smart home interface with Generative UI. It processes voice, images, sensor feeds and video in real time to unify control of over 2,000 device models under one intuitive app and login.

The assistant will roll out to existing SmartHome+ customers over the coming weeks, while new subscribers receive up to $125 in device credits and 50% off professional installation when they commit to 24 months of service.
3. Market Expansion and Future Plans
Telus plans to add internet management controls enabling Wi-Fi optimization, family usage monitoring and automated routines via natural conversation, and offers a white-label option for global service providers to customize and deploy the technology.
