Tempest Therapeutics plans first clinical study of in vivo CAR-T candidate TPST-4003 in Q4 2026

Tempest Therapeutics unveiled an in vivo CAR-T platform, setting a first clinical study of lead candidate TPST-4003 for Q4 2026.

The investigator-initiated trial targets nervous system autoimmune diseases, initially myasthenia gravis and multiple sclerosis, with about 10 patients planned.

First patient dosing is targeted for Q4 2026, and initial safety and pharmacodynamic data are expected in H1 2027.

TPST-4003 uses CD7-targeted mRNA lipid nanoparticles to deliver a dual CD19/BCMA CAR construct previously used in TPST-2003.
