Terra Innovatum Opens Pittsburgh HQ, Hires Two Nuclear Veterans for SOLO Licensing
Terra Innovatum has launched its U.S. headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to spearhead SOLO microreactor deployment and align with domestic supply chains and regulators. The company appointed nuclear veterans John Valentino and Michael Anness to lead U.S. sales, business development, strategy, licensing readiness and FOAK deployment planning.
1. Establishes U.S. Headquarters in Pittsburgh
Terra Innovatum Global N.V. has created its U.S. subsidiary, Terra Innovatum Corp., and opened a headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The facility will centralize engagement with federal and state regulators, customers and partners to advance licensing readiness and commercial deployment of the SOLO microreactor.
2. Appoints Industry Veterans to Lead U.S. Operations
John Valentino joins as Head of U.S. Sales and Business Development, bringing over 30 years’ experience from Centrus, X-energy and Duke Energy. Michael Anness steps in as Head of U.S. Strategy & Operations with a background in AP1000 deployment and SMR development at Westinghouse, focusing on regulatory execution and FOAK planning.
3. Focus on Licensing Readiness and FOAK Deployment
The U.S. arm will drive pre-application activities with the NRC, align domestic supply chains and site the first-of-a-kind SOLO reactor at Rock City, Illinois. This strategy aims to streamline commercial execution for carbon-free microreactor deployment in critical markets across the United States.
