Additionally, the company will establish an AI training hub in China to support its Full Self-Driving and Dojo initiatives, expanding its global R&D footprint.

1. Solar Cell Expansion Plans

Tesla has shortlisted New York, Arizona and Idaho for building new solar cell manufacturing facilities, aiming to ramp capacity to meet growing demand for its Solar Roof and Powerwall products. The sites are under review for incentives, grid access and proximity to key markets, with final decisions expected later this year.

2. AI Training Hub in China

To bolster its Dojo supercomputer and Full Self-Driving software development, Tesla will open a dedicated AI training center near its Shanghai Gigafactory. The facility will host hundreds of GPUs and local AI engineers, accelerating model training cycles and reducing latency for its Chinese vehicle fleet.
