Tesla gains FSD approval in Belgium and Denmark, expands EU data pool
TSLA•Belgium and Denmark have approved Tesla’s Full Self-Driving Supervised software, expanding its footprint to six EU countries including the Netherlands, Lithuania and Estonia. Each new market grants Tesla access to additional real-world driving data as it pushes software revenue in a tougher electric-vehicle landscape.
1. Regulatory Approvals in Belgium and Denmark
Belgium granted official authorization for Tesla’s Full Self-Driving Supervised software following local trials, a day after Denmark’s clearance on June 10, 2026. These approvals mark a regulatory milestone as both countries now allow drivers to use the advanced system under supervision.
2. Expansion Across EU Markets
With these approvals, six EU nations—including the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Belgium and Denmark—now permit supervised use of Tesla’s FSD, broadening the company’s testing ground across diverse driving environments. Each additional market increases Tesla’s exposure to varied road conditions and driving behaviors.
3. Strategic Implications for Tesla
Access to more real-world driving data from these markets could accelerate software refinement and future feature releases, supporting Tesla’s push to boost its high-margin software revenue stream as electric-vehicle competition intensifies.
