Teva Data Show Sustained AUSTEDO Response: >50% Improve by Week 15, Additional 23% Later
TEVA•Teva’s IMPACT-TD Registry shows all patients on AUSTEDO or AUSTEDO XR reduced AIMS scores within three months with improved daily living and psychosocial functioning. A 3-year RIM-TD study found over 50% responded by week 15 and another 23% achieved meaningful improvement after week 15.
1. IMPACT-TD Registry Results
Data from the IMPACT-TD Registry show that patients with mild to moderate TD who began treatment with AUSTEDO or AUSTEDO XR experienced consistent reductions in Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) scores over three months. These reductions were accompanied by improvements in daily living activities, psychosocial functioning, speech, and communication while maintaining psychiatric stability.
2. RIM-TD Long-Term Response
An analysis of the 3-year RIM-TD open-label study revealed that more than 50% of patients achieved a clinically meaningful AIMS improvement by week 15, with an additional 23% of patients reaching response thresholds with continued therapy beyond week 15. This trend underscores the value of sustained treatment for maximizing therapeutic outcomes in individuals living with TD.
3. Caregiver Education and Diagnosis Gap
Educational initiatives delivered in collaboration with patient advocacy groups prompted 53% of caregivers to engage in TD-specific discussions with healthcare professionals within six months, leading to a 34% formal diagnosis rate among at-risk individuals. These findings highlight the importance of targeted education in closing the diagnosis gap and expanding the treatable patient population.
