Dell Technologies won a contract from Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station to design and build the IGNITE secure AI and HPC platform.
Deployment targets one of higher education’s largest AI installations, using AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs on Dell PowerEdge XE9785L systems.
The platform uses a shared, policy-based zero-trust model to run research workloads with different security requirements on common infrastructure.
Systems will be installed at an Equinix IBX data center in Dallas, with Dell Managed Services supporting ongoing operations.
