1. Textron Q4 Earnings Preview
Textron is set to release its fourth-quarter earnings next week, with analysts forecasting a year-over-year revenue increase driven by strong performance in its Aviation and Defense segments. Aviation deliveries are expected to rise by approximately 8% compared with Q4 2024, supported by robust demand for Cessna and Beechcraft jets. In Defense, backlog grew by 12% sequentially to $6.4 billion, reflecting higher production rates on rotary-wing platforms and unmanned systems. Order intake across the company climbed 15% during the quarter, while free cash flow conversion is projected at 110% of net earnings, bolstered by disciplined working-capital management. Investors will be watching Textron’s adjusted operating margin guidance, which management has indicated could expand by 50 to 75 basis points in 2026, as the company leverages higher volumes and ongoing cost-reduction initiatives.
2. E-Z-GO Launches 2027 Liberty™ Vehicle
Textron’s Specialized Vehicles division unveiled the all-new E-Z-GO Liberty™ for the 2027 model year, featuring a ground-up redesign aimed at premium ride quality and advanced connectivity. The electric vehicle is powered by Samsung SDI lithium battery technology, offering 25% greater range per charge versus the prior ELiTE series and backed by an eight-year warranty. Key upgrades include a 10-inch ECOXGEAR touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, IntelliScreen™ vehicle diagnostics and performance tuning, and a 28-inch ECOXGEAR LED soundbar. The Liberty’s compact wheelbase delivers a 14-foot turning radius, while its welded-steel frame and automotive-grade body panels enhance durability. Available this summer from authorized dealers, the street-legal low-speed vehicle meets FMVSS 500 standards for operation on roads up to 35 mph and expands Textron’s sustainable electric-vehicle offerings.
