TLRY•Tilray Medical launched its first medical cannabis product, Tilray Oral Solution CBD100, in Panama through Farmacias Arrocha under Law 242 and Health Ministry resolution No. 0406. The EU-GMP-certified solution shipped from Portugal via the Solana joint venture expands the company’s presence to over 20 countries.
1. Panama Commercial Launch
Tilray Medical has introduced its EU-GMP-certified Tilray Oral Solution CBD100 into Panama’s regulated market, distributing the product through Farmacias Arrocha under medical prescription. The launch marks the company’s first commercial medical cannabis offering in Panama, leveraging a joint venture with Solana Life Group for supply.
2. Regulatory Framework in Panama
Panama’s medical cannabis framework, established under Law 242 of 2021 and reinforced by Health Ministry resolution No. 0406 of May 12, 2026, provides the legal basis for patient access. The recently implemented SIUCMAA identification system ensures physician authorization and patient registration within a structured pathway.
3. Global Expansion Strategy
This Panama debut complements Tilray Medical’s footprint in over 20 countries across five continents, supported by EU-GMP production facilities in Portugal. The company’s strategic export hub in Europe and partnerships in Latin America aim to accelerate access to pharmaceutical-grade cannabinoid medicines through established healthcare channels.
