1. Infobahn Named Lead Partner for METI’s Global Fashion IP Initiative

On January 7, 2026, TNL Mediagene announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Infobahn Inc. has been selected by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to serve as Lead Partner in “The Program for Creating Global Fashion IP.” Infobahn will organize and present the results at the “UNFOLDING” showcase scheduled for January 2026 in Tokyo and Kyoto. The program, part of METI’s broader creative‐industry strategy, aims to cultivate 50 next‐generation designers, leverage traditional crafts in contemporary designs, and drive export growth of high-value-added fashion IP by 20% over three years. Infobahn secured the partnership based on a 25% annual growth in its content marketing business, strategic planning capabilities demonstrated in five previous government-sponsored campaigns, and a client roster that includes three of Japan’s top five multinational corporations and two leading prefectural governments.

2. TNL Mediagene Rolls Out NLWeb Support to Enable AI-Native Content Monetization

On January 6, 2026, TNL Mediagene unveiled Natural Language Web support across its digital media properties, marking a strategic shift toward AI-native content infrastructure. Developed by Microsoft, the NLWeb framework uses Schema.org and the Model Context Protocol to make site content machine-readable and conversationally accessible. Management projects a 30% expansion in addressable content value by enabling AI agents and large language models to query articles directly—unlocking new revenue streams such as usage-based licensing and enterprise integrations. CTO Richard Lee highlighted that NLWeb transforms static pages into intelligent platforms for both humans and machines, while CEO Joey Chung noted that early AI content licensing deals have already contributed to 5% of digital media revenues in Q4 2025, underscoring the rapid monetization potential of this infrastructure enhancement.
