Tokyo Lifestyle Partners with FLUSH for Three-Year Franchise Push, Targeting Eight Kansai Stores
TKLF•Tokyo Lifestyle signed a three-year franchise agreement with FLUSH to operate its Tokyo Lifestyle and REIWATAKIYA brands in Western Japan, starting with a Ginza store and targeting eight stores in Kansai. The partnership leverages FLUSH’s AI-driven O2O and live broadcasting to boost store traffic, sales efficiency and brand presence.
1. Franchise Agreement Terms
On March 30, Tokyo Lifestyle granted FLUSH a non-exclusive three-year franchise license to operate its Tokyo Lifestyle, 東京生活館 and REIWATAKIYA brands across Western Japan. Under the terms, FLUSH will manage household-goods retail stores using Tokyo Lifestyle’s merchandising, brand and operational frameworks.
2. Kansai Expansion Plan
The collaboration launches with a franchise store in Ginza and aims to open eight additional outlets in the Kansai region, Japan’s second-largest metropolitan area, reinforcing domestic market presence and supply chain efficiency.
3. O2O and AI Capabilities
FLUSH will integrate AI-driven live broadcasting and an Online-to-Offline model to engage digitally native consumers, drive foot traffic, and convert online interactions into in-store sales, leveraging data-driven targeting for higher customer lifetime value.
4. Strategic Growth Impact
This asset-light franchising approach reduces capital expenditure and execution risk, strengthening brand identity in Japan and supporting Tokyo Lifestyle’s broader digital transformation and global expansion strategy.
