TOP Ships agreed to buy three SPVs holding 2029 newbuild contracts for ECO, scrubber-fitted MR product tankers.
The net purchase price is USD 7.4 million, reflecting a USD 23.5 million refund tied to a cancelled Dubai real estate deal. Closing is targeted by Sept. 30, 2026.
The vessels are fixed on five-year time charters with an oil major from delivery, with a one-year extension option. The company said the potential backlog for the three vessels is about USD 140.6 million.
TOP Ships said total potential gross revenue backlog rises to about USD 929 million, including operating fleet charters, 10 MR newbuildings, optional periods and its joint venture share.
