TotalEnergies’ board backed Patrick Pouyanné to continue as chairman and CEO and plans to propose renewing his mandate at the May 2027 shareholder meeting.

TotalEnergies’ board reaffirmed its Oil & Gas and Integrated Power strategy after its annual strategic seminar on Sept. 23–24, 2026, and backed Pouyanné to continue leading it as chairman and CEO. Directors opted to retain the combined chairman-CEO structure, citing oversight by lead independent director Jacques Aschenbroich. The board will propose renewing both Pouyanné’s and Aschenbroich’s mandates at the May 2027 shareholder meeting.
