TotalEnergies Uncovers 160m Hydrocarbon Column, Boosting 100M-Barrel Moho Resources
TotalEnergies EP Congo discovered a ~160m hydrocarbon column in the Moho G structure off the Republic of Congo, adding to nearly 100 million barrels of recoverable resources on the Moho licence. The find enables tie-back development to existing offshore facilities producing ~90,000 boepd.
1. Discovery Details
TotalEnergies EP Congo drilled the MHNM-6 NFW exploration well on the Moho licence 75km offshore Pointe-Noire and encountered a hydrocarbon column measuring around 160m within Albian reservoirs in the Moho G structure.
2. Resource Estimate and Partners
The Moho licence holds estimated recoverable resources of nearly 100 million barrels across the Moho F and G structures, with TotalEnergies EP Congo operating at 63.5% ownership alongside Trident Energy at 21.5% and Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo at 15%.
3. Development and Production
The Moho G discovery is planned as a short-cycle, cost-effective tie-back to existing Moho facilities, which currently achieve combined production of around 90,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day via the Alima and Likouf floating production units.
