1. Toyota Forecasts Record U.S. Tariff Expenses
Toyota forecasts ¥1.45 trillion (about $9.1 billion) in U.S. tariff costs for its fiscal year ending March 31, the highest among global automakers. U.S. duties have imposed at least $35.4 billion on the industry since 2025, with rates of 15% on Japanese, German and Korean vehicles, 25% on non‐qualifying North American units and 50% on steel and aluminum imports.
2. Toyota Lecture Series Headlines CCS Industry Expo
From March 16 to 20, Toyota will host a public Lecture Series symposium at the College for Creative Studies, featuring animator Eric Goldberg and illustrators from major studios. The event connects over 140 Entertainment Arts and Illustration students with 50+ industry professionals for portfolio reviews and critiques across animation, illustration, gaming and design sectors.
