
Toyota Motor North America reported Q2 U.S. sales of 673,971 vehicles, up 1.1% on a volume basis and up 1.1% on a daily selling rate, with electrified unit sales rising 19.5% to 383,091 units for a 56.8% share. Toyota also committed $250 million to expand Joby Aviation manufacturing capacity, deepening its eVTOL stake.
Toyota Motor North America delivered 673,971 vehicle sales in Q2 2026, representing a 1.1% increase year-over-year on both volume and daily selling rate metrics. June alone saw 212,793 units sold, up 10.1% on volume and 5.7% on DSR, driven by disciplined inventory management and consumer demand for affordable models.
Electrified vehicle sales in the quarter reached 383,091 units, a 19.5% year-over-year volume increase accounting for 56.8% of total sales. In June, electrified deliveries jumped 35.0% to 122,063 units on a volume basis and 29.6% on a DSR basis, led by an all-time best month for the RAV4 Hybrid.
Toyota deepened its strategic partnership with Joby Aviation by investing $250 million to expand eVTOL production capacity in the U.S. This funding will enhance manufacturing facilities, bolster output scalability and position Toyota to capture growth in emerging urban air mobility markets.
Finance
