Traders trim bets on Fed rate hike after Waller remarks
TLT•Traders cut odds of a September rate hike
Sept. 3 (Reuters) - Traders trimmed bets on a Federal Reserve interest rate hike after Fed Governor Christopher Waller said he sees recent progress on inflation and would support holding the policy rate steady at the Fed's September 15-16 meeting if that continues in the August data.
Traders now see about a 54% chance of a September rate hike, down from about 62% before Waller spoke.
