TransAlta Q2 FY26 net earnings swing to profit of $35 million; revenue rises 12.47% to $487 million

TransAlta posted Q2 net earnings attributable to common shareholders of $35 million, or $0.12 per share, returning to profit from a $112 million loss.
Adjusted EBITDA (non-IFRS) fell 16.62% to $291 million; free cash flow (non-IFRS) slipped 19.21% to $143 million, or $0.47 per share.
Revenue rose 12.47% to $487 million, while cash flow from operating activities dropped 60.51% to $62 million, or $0.21 per share.
Operating performance softened
Availability edged down 1.4 percentage points to 90.2%, while production declined 1.93% to 4,720 GWh.
