The modest uptick signals continued confidence in broad U.S. large-cap equities by the regional bank’s asset management arm.

2. TRB Advisors LP Makes VOO Its Largest Holding

TRB Advisors LP substantially expanded its allocation to VOO during the same period, acquiring an additional 200,000 shares—a 72.7% jump—to reach 475,000 shares in total. Those shares carried a carrying value of roughly $290.9 million at quarter end, accounting for 57.5% of TRB’s total assets under management and making VOO the firm’s single largest investment. This aggressive allocation underscores TRB’s strategic tilt toward passive index exposure in its client portfolios.

Beyond these two investors, several other institutions adjusted VOO positions in the third quarter. Cheviot Value Management boosted its stake by 19.4% to 3,896 shares; 1834 Investment Advisors added 1.8% to hold 36,562 shares; Patten & Patten lifted its exposure by 23.7% to 21,380 shares; Winebrenner Capital Management grew its stake by 22.9% to 575 shares; and Mendel Capital Management increased its position by 3.7% to 22,056 shares.
