Treace debuts HyperPlate XM implant in first talonavicular fusion, Q3 2026 rollout
TMCI•Treace Medical Concepts completed its first surgical case using the HyperPlate XM Dynamic Compression Locking Implant for talonavicular joint fusion, leveraging FastPitch locking screws and an ultra-low profile design. Full commercialization with complementary sterile instruments is planned for Q3 2026, expanding midfoot and hindfoot fusion applications.
1. First Surgical Case Completed
Treace executed the first surgical case using HyperPlate XM Dynamic Compression Locking Implant, with Dr. Paul Dayton performing a talonavicular joint fusion at the Foot & Ankle Center of Iowa. The procedure demonstrated streamlined insertion, precise anatomic fit and enhanced construct stability in a midfoot application.
2. Implant Design and Features
The HyperPlate XM system integrates FastPitch locking screws into a titanium compression implant featuring an ultra-low profile and versatile sizing. It delivers dynamic compression across fusion sites and multiplanar strength for talonavicular, calcaneocuboid, naviculocuneiform, tarsometatarsal fusions and Evans osteotomies in midfoot and hindfoot procedures.
3. Commercialization Timeline and Market Expansion
Full commercialization of the HyperPlate XM implant and its companion sterile instruments, including the GreatReleaseXM Rapid Release Instrument, is planned for Q3 2026. This launch extends Treace’s SpeedPlate platform into larger joint fusions, broadening its addressable market and supporting increased procedural utilization.
