On June 8, 2026, Truist Financial appointed Catherine Bessant, former Bank of America vice chair and global strategy executive, to its board of directors and risk committee. Bessant brings four decades of experience in digital transformation, operations and information security and previously led global corporate banking and market roles.
2. Truist Joins Tokenised Deposit Network
Truist joined a new tokenized deposit network operated by The Clearing House alongside JPMorgan, Citi, Bank of America and other major banks. The platform enables 24/7 on-chain settlement, richer transaction data and connectivity between blockchain networks and traditional payment rails like RTP and CHIPS for corporate treasury and payments use cases.
