Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the Trump administration will use existing legal authority to proceed with its Russian diesel supply deal, which he said would bring diesel prices down.

Bessent told Fox News the administration would use its legal authorities to follow through with the diesel supply deal with Russia, announced by President Donald Trump on Friday. He said critics in Congress were wrong to argue that existing or proposed legislation prohibited the deal, and called it good for the American people.
