2. Data center expansion
Trump reiterated his support for rapid data center expansion, saying companies would make communities happy about construction and contribute to them. Data centers have drawn opposition over electricity demand, utility costs and other local impacts.
3. Other announcements
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said companies agreed to develop robust internal controls. Trump said he was considering a 10-person board to oversee AI safety and would soon name a new official to lead White House AI policies. He also directed government agencies to use the term “super intelligence” instead of “artificial intelligence.”
