Uber Expands Square Integration to Six Markets and Adds Cash App Pay

UBERUBER

Uber extends its Square-Uber Eats integration to six new markets—Canada, Australia, the U.K., Ireland, France and Spain—enabling restaurant partners to manage orders via Square POS and streamline workflows. It also adds Cash App Pay as a U.S. payment option, tapping into 59 million monthly active Cash App users.

1. Expanded Square Integration

Uber and Block will roll out Square’s native Uber Eats integration beyond the U.S. into Canada, Australia, the U.K., Ireland, France and Spain. Restaurant partners can now manage all orders through their Square POS, eliminate extra tablets, centralize menus and inventory, and receive Instant Payouts to support steady cash flow.

2. Cash App Pay Introduction in U.S.

Cash App Pay will be available as a payment method on both Uber and Uber Eats apps across the United States, granting access to 59 million monthly active Cash App users, largely Millennials and Gen Z. This addition aims to simplify checkout, enhance payment flexibility and unlock special offers through Cash App.

3. Strategic Synergies and Market Impact

The expanded partnership leverages Uber’s delivery platform with Block’s payment ecosystem to drive operational efficiency and customer convenience. Streamlined restaurant operations and diversified payment options are expected to boost order volumes, deepen consumer engagement and support incremental revenue growth across Uber’s services.
